Many people ask “can a British citizen get an Irish passport?” and the answer is YES, if either a parent or grandparent was born on the “island of Ireland”, ie. either Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. If you or a parent was born in Ireland, then you’re already an Irish citizen, and if it was a grandparent then you can apply for Irish citizenship by registering on the Foreign Births Register.
You can have dual Irish citizenship and British citizenship which means you can hold a British and Irish passport. This means that you can keep your EU passport after Brexit and retain your EU citizenship.
