Tourism Minister Dominic Fedee says St. Lucia is planning to ramp up its efforts to woo more German
and French tourists. This as the Minister reported an increase in overall visitor arrivals to the island.
Tourism Minister Dominic Fedee underscored the importance of the French market to St. Lucia. The
Minister noted that for any given year at least 10,000 French visitors converge on St. Lucia’s shores.
That’s why the Minister announced Government’s intention to concentrate on expanding that market
Despite the absence of direct flights from France into St. Lucia the 35 flights travelling to Martinique
per week place St. Lucia at a distinct advantage. The heavy air traffic allows for greater connectivity
between St. Lucia and the neighboring French territories
Germany is also another market that St. Lucia hopes to grow.
