Students visited Kofinou Refugee Reception Centre to witness, first-hand, how the Cypriot Asylum Service houses refugees when they arrive on the island.

The site is currently home to 300 refugees from countries including Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Iraq. The eight students have travelled to Cyprus as part of our work with the United Nations’ #JoinTogether campaign, focused on supporting refugees worldwide.

During the trip, De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) students are sharing thoughts with counterparts at Frederick University on how we can integrate migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
