Issues When Relocating to Spain
In today’s video I will share my personal challenges I faced moving to Valencia, Spain. Prepare yourself for the endless Spanish bureaucracy. Get all your documents in order and make extra copies of everything. It will help you a lot if you learn some Spanish especially necessary to communicate at all administrations, government institutions and medical centers. Also very helpful if you get a local number. You would need to call real estate agents, offices etc. It is very challenging to rent an apartment as a foreigner in Spain, but not impossible. You would need to pre pay a few months of rent as landlords are scared of shady tenants (the law is on the side of the tenant). To open a Bank Account you need your passport, NIE, taxes and health insurance. Getting a health insurance in Spain is not very difficult. As for the taxes make sure you consult with an accountant as after 183 days of stay foreigners are suppose to pay taxes as well.
