One Signal regiment’s VHF Team have installed very high-frequency microwave dishes onto cellular towers in Port Vila and Santo as part of Phase 2 of the Vanuatu Government National Emergency Radio Network.

To be delivered by the ADF and Vanuatu Police Force over a three-year period under the Vanuatu-Australia Defence Cooperation Program, the national radio network upgrade will increase the island nation’s disaster preparedness and response capability and also support an enhanced police presence.
