Golden Residence Permit of Portugal – European Passport – EXPO (Park of Nations)

The Parque das Nações – or Park of Nations – popularly known as Expo, represents the ultra-modern face of Lisbon and, indeed, Portugal as a whole. This vast area in the east of Lisbon began a new life in 1998 when it was the site for the World Fair. It was always the plan that the fair was to be just the first stage in the development of the area and it has since become an immensely popular place for public recreation.

As well as being a very desirable place to live it is also a magnet for visitors to Lisbon looking to rent apartments on a short-term basis, so owning a property here could prove to be a good investment in more than one way.

With magnificent views across the Tagus River and a vast riverfront area it has rapidly established itself as an important cultural and commercial area. People come here for any number of reasons: their daily jog along the promenade – the land round here is basically flat, unlike much of Lisbon; to socialize in the upmarket restaurants and relaxed bars; to browse the designer shops; to enjoy a scenic cable car ride; or to visit the various cultural facilities: ranging from the Oceanarium, through the Virtual Reality and Knowledge Pavilions, to the concert venue at the Atlantic Pavilion.

And it is all so easy to access thanks to the amazing transport infrastructure. It has its own railway station and the 17 km long Vasco da Gama Bridge – the fifth longest bridge in the world – has truly made the city’s relationship with the vital and beautiful River Tagus closer than ever.
