What do I get out of the EB-5 Program?
What you get in exchange for the capital investment is becoming a US person and obtaining a Green Card which is U.S. residency, for yourself, your spouse and children under the age of 21. This is important because you’re going to need that if you want to live and work into the U.S.
What are the difference between a Green Card holder and a U.S. person?
With that investment amount, you get the expedited residency and you become a U.S. person which avails you to all the rights that come with being an American. You have access to free public education, your sons or daughters, or yourself can enroll in universities and obtain subsidize tuitions grants scholarships, you can work for any private company you want or you can start your own company. You are a U.S. person.
The only differences between a Green Card holder and a U.S. person with a passport, you can’t vote in national elections, you can’t work for the FBI and of course you don’t have the U.S. passport but you’re on your way to it. After 5 years of holding your Green Card you can trade it in, obtain U.S. naturalization become a citizen and get your U.S. passport.
