Hello and welcome to this edition of EB-5 Investment Report Magazine, I’m Tracy Lagera.
EB5InvestmentReport.com has just been awarded the 2012 EB-5 Media Service Provider of the Year by EB5NewsBlog.org. The annual award was given to EB-5 Investment Report for its superior EB-5 multimedia news and information services promoting the EB-5 Visa program worldwide.
In this issue Aimee Rios sat down with Ching Liu, cofounder of Inland Empire Renewable Energy regional center and executive vice president of SolarMax Technology about how they creatively use EB5 funds to help residents with the cost of installing solar panels. They also talked about IERE’s other EB-5 offerings and how they use the Rim model for job creation.
Shelley Brumbaugh spoke with Aaron Knox President of Innovation Economy Connect, Inc. and Dwight Cromie EB-5 Investment Report’s Editor. They talked about the Innovation Economy Expo and the EB-5 breakout sessions which will be held on May 9, 2013 at the Ontario Convention Center in Southern California.
Aimee Rios completes her series on the EB-5 process, pitfalls and problems. In this final segment she discusses the I- 829 form and why some projects fail. It includes interviews with Brian Su of Artisan Business Group and Steve Anapoell – a corporate and securities attorney with Greenberg Traurig.
EB-5 contributor Joseph Whalen recently reported on the Carlsson project – an American Life Regional Center project in Riverside, CA that failed and led to a significant lawsuit. Innovation LP drew 23 EB-5 investors into a supposed renovation project that did not focus its efforts to foster sufficient job creation.
