(24 Oct 2019) Spanish King Felipe VI was awarded honorary South Korean citizenship during a ceremony in Seoul ON Thursday.
Queen Letizia of Spain also attended the event at Seoul City Hall.
Honorary citizenship benefits include free admission to public museums and free subway rides.
Felipe met with President Moon Jae-in Wednesday during the royal couple’s two-day visit to South Korea.
Felipe is the first Spanish king to visit Seoul in 23 years.
