Every year high society gathers for the Global Citizen Forum. The event, also known as the “Davos of the passport trade” is attended by high ranking politicians, business leaders and celebrities such as Robert de Niro, Wyclef Jean or Akon. The host is Armand Arton, President of Arton Capital, one of a handful of multinational firms that specializes in global citizenship-by-investment programs, commonly known as Golden Visas. Reporters for ARD Panorama visited last year’s forum in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro, and found a global elite oscillating between charity talk and mundane business.
