Jenny Southan, a multi award-winning journalist stated that Japan has proven to be the country with the most powerful passport in the world, giving nationals easy entry to 191 countries. On the other hand, the United Kingdom and United States have slipped down the rankings.
Henley Passport Index a global ranking of countries according to the travel freedom for their citizens stated in a report that the Japanese passport is the most travel-friendly as compared to any other country in the world.
In the year 2015, the United States of America and United Kingdom were both in combined first place but in the year 2020 they fell all the way down to eighth position, supplying access to 184 countries.
Henley Passport index’s momentous success story continues with the United Arab Emirates, which has risen an extraordinary 47 places over the previous decade and now rests in 18th place, with a visa-free/visa-on-arrival score of 171.
Worldwide travelling is toughest for those travellers with Afghani passports, which sits at the bottom of the index, providing access to only 26 destinations worldwide.
“Currently Malta rests at ninth place, with entry to 183 destinations, while Montenegro grips on to 46th place, with a visa-free/visa-on-arrival score of 124. St. Kitts and Nevis and Antigua and Barbuda, in the Caribbean, have acquired 27th and 30th spots, correspondingly.”
