The foreign ministry has written to the government of Antigua asking that Mehul Choksi, wanted in India for a Rs. 13,000 crore bank fraud, be detained. Fleeing India in January, Mehul Choksi has got citizenship of the tiny Caribbean nation, which had asked India for a Red Corner Notice issued by the Interpol.  India has responded that a Red Corner Notice is needed to locate an absconding person.
