In 1990 the US adopted into law the EB-5 program, which stands for the employment-based fifth category program. The EB-5 program allows foreign investors to invest into U.S. Development projects and as long as that investment creates more than 10 US jobs, the investor obtains the U.S. Green Card. This allows the investor to move themselves with their family to the United States and after certain requirements are met, they can eventually become a citizen.
