Here are 4 ways to get a green card, also known as permanent residency, in the United States.
Number 3 may surprise you, and number 4 is clearly the most controversial, at least these days.
#1: Marry an American
As long as your marriage is real and legitimate, it should lead to a green card.
#2: Invest $800,000 to $1,00,000 USD in a U.S. Business and otherwise qualify for an EB-5 investor visa.
#3: Win the U.S. Visa Lottery (also called the Green Card Lottery or Diversity Visa Program)
