… Perast is a town in Montenegro that has 349 inhabitants and is located in the Bay of Kotor, on the shore of the Adriatic, a few kilometers northwest of Kotor. Near the town there are two small islands, the Islote Sveti Dorde (Isla de San Jorge) where a Benedictine monastery from the 12th century is located and Gospa od Škrpjela, (Our Lady of the Rocks), a small artificial island of 3030 m² in which there is an old sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin of the Rock.
