The European Union(EU) had officially suspended Visa Waiver Agreement with Vanuatu.
It was not that Vanuatu doesn’t meet any criteria but war between Russia and Ukraine contribute most to this suspension by EU.

Director General at the Prime Minister’s office, Dr. Gregoire Nimptik told VBTC News that Government had appointed a new taskforce committee to look into this issue and to find a solution as soon as possible.

VFSC Commissioner, Branan GARAE said they didn’t take any decision yet to the business of Russia in the country after Vanuatu supports Ukraine.

On the other hand, the Director of VFIU said Government will have a meeting with EU in May 2022 and he sure that the citizenship program will be rescued.
