Congress created the EB-5 Program in 1990 to benefit the U.S. economy by attracting investments from qualified foreign investors. The EB-5 program has had a tremendous positive impact on the U.S. economy while benefiting investors interested in establishing U.S. citizenship…all while creating quality American jobs.
In 1992, Congress enhanced the economic impact of the EB-5 program by permitting the designation of Regional Centers to pool EB-5 capital from multiple foreign investors for investment in economic development projects approved by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) within a defined geographic region.
Founded in 2005, Invest in the USA (IIUSA) is the national membership-based 501(c)(6) not-for-profit industry trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center Program (the “Program”). IIUSA members account for a vast majority of capital formation and job creation in the U.S. resulting from the Program. IIUSA advocates for policies that will maximize economic benefit to the U.S. from the Program through advocacy, education, industry development, and research.
