The U.S. Senate passes 2022 federal spending bill incl. U.S. EB-5 Investor Visa Program bill, sends to President Biden’s desk
The reauthorisation of the EB-5 Regional Center Program was included in a comprehensive government budget bill voted by the United States Senate.
The EB-5 Regional Center programme has been extended through to September 30, 2027, with major adjustments that will affect current and future investors. For both Regional Center and direct, the minimum EB-5 investment amount would increase to $800,000 from $500,000 currently for Targeted Employment Areas and Rural Areas, and $1.05 million from $1 million currently for Non-Targeted Employment Areas.
